- A comprehensive insight into the sacred tradition of Arabic and Islamic Calligraphy.

- Acquire skills that will give you a foundation in the beauty and aesthetics of this revered art-form.  

- An introduction to writing in the Naskh, Riq'a, Thuluth and Diwani scripts.

- You will learn to beautifully construct individual letter-forms and words.

- Techniques to practice for improvement and further study of Arabic calligraphy.

 

 

The Teacher:

Ustadh Moustafa Hassan is an experienced teacher of Arabic and Islamic Calligraphy. An Egyptian-born British artist, he has been a practioner of Arabic Calligraphy for over 20 years. Ustadh Moustafa’s knowledge and practice of the art of calligraphy has been honed since 1975 in pre-eminent cultural institutions in Egypt, and his work has been exhibited in the UK as well as various countries of the Middle East.
